Simply put, place sounds like a ginormous scam. I have a friend who's doing a day-long "shadowing" with a rep of theirs. I've had a friend do an "interview" like this before and the company was laughable. Anyone got any insight on them so maybe I can spare my friend the trouble of wasting his entire day with some douche? |

| xanthan gum |

I need to start cooking gluten free, and as part of that I also am going to have to start baking my own breads. Does anyone know of a place to buy xanthan gum? I'm in south city, and work in Clayton, so hopefully someplace near-ish. Any help would be appreciated. |

Has anyone ever lived at Idlewood Estates in Collinsville?
They seem to have a good floor plan at a good price and have decent reviews. |

| Looking for a place to move! |
[Nov. 6th, 2009|03:18 pm] |
It can be an apartment or a house for rent.
There are certain requirements:
1. They must accept pets. (small dog under 25 pounds and 2 cats) 2. It must have at least 2 bedrooms 3. Preferably $700 a month or less. 4. It must be in Illinois, preferring Collinsville although other areas are ok too.
At this point, I just want to see what's out there and am willing to consider any ideas. |

| Protesting against the Westborough Baptist Church |
[Nov. 6th, 2009|02:25 pm] |
You remember them, they're the douchebags behind the "God hates fags" campaign, as well as the protesting soldier's memorial services.

105.7 the Point is organizing a counter-protest to the Phelps' clan's protest of a dead soldier's memorial. The link has more information.
also, this is from the comments on the link:
Let your listeners know that on your way down to Northwest High School, you will pass a crappy little town known as Byrnes Mill. It is just past High Ridge on Hwy 30. This town makes its money pulling over anyone and everyone. Watch your speed going through this town. |

| free tickets! |
[Nov. 4th, 2009|01:42 pm] |
Hello all!
A co-worker of mine won two free tickets to the Dance St. Louis performance, Complexions, being held at UMSL's Touhill Performing Arts Center. She gave the tickets to me, but I will be unable to go because of kickball. Would anyone like to take these tickets off my hands? The performance is this Saturday, November 7th at 2:00pm, and they are great seats.
Click on the link to see info about the show: http://www.dancestlouis.org/0910_complexions.htm
If you are at all interested in going, please let me know ASAP (by noon on Friday) since I will need to email the box office in order to change the name on the Will Call list. Again, these would be FREE tickets! |

| Rental Houses in the Maplewood/Brentwood area |
[Nov. 4th, 2009|01:04 pm] |
Hey folks - we are VERY unhappy with our current home in Brentwood and are looking to move. We are searching for a rental in the Maplewood/Richmond Heights/Brentwood area that is around 1000/month or under with 3 bedrooms.
We are in the process of breaking our lease since our current landlord has been unresponsive to our ant problem and plumbing issues. We are confident there is an ant nest in the walls but after repeated calls, we got one visit from an exterminator. He promised a follow up and we never got it. Still got the ants though.
We currently live at Brentwood and Manchester and love the area but would also go to Maplewood my husband's office is near there.
I have already checked Craigslist and RFT. If anyone happens to see a sign - please direct me! Due to having a 13 month old, it's not too easy to drive around to look for the local signs. |

| FOUND: large gold lab, small black lab mix |
[Nov. 4th, 2009|07:19 am] |
Found in Maplewood at the intersection of Manchester and Marshall at about 6:30 a.m.
The gold/blond lab is large and male, with a red collar (no tags). The small black lab mix has some white on her paws and is about 40 pounds, with no collar.
These dogs are currently in my yard, but I'd like to help them get home and not send them to the shelter.
Please ring me eight one two two one nine two seven three seven if you know anything about these dogs, or drop by Foundation Grounds (at Manchester and Marshall).
Thanks for your help! |

| Arrested Development |
[Nov. 2nd, 2009|08:34 pm] |
For those of you that have written papers for class, I was curious as to which episodes you've written about.
I'm writing a research paper on sitcoms this semester for grad school and Arrested Development is one of the five sitcoms that I'm focusing on. I really want to focus on how the network treated it since it was loved by the critics but just couldn't find the audience that FOX wanted.
As a side note, during Just for Laughs in Chicago, I got to meet David Cross. |

| SAVE THE HORSIES!!! |
[Oct. 30th, 2009|08:46 am] |
Hey y'all! As some of you may know I'm a Vet Tech student and as a Vet Tech student we have to do Animal Related things like SELLING CALENDARS!!! So with that being said, I and my classmates are selling calendars for MAHR's which is Mid America Horse Rescue in Millstadt, IL. They rescue abused or neglected horses, lame horses, horses off the track, etc. The calendars are $12 and I'd need the money no later than Nov 8th. We take cash or check, ALL of the proceeds goes to MAHR's so yeah. You can buy em for yourself or for a horse loving friend or family member as they'll be here by X-mas. The calendar is marked on pretty much every single date with a silly fun fact, or on this day in history, etc etc with enough room to write your own stuff on the dates and there's pictures of the seniors with all of the horses up for adoption, etc. That's all I got. If you write a check make it out to the SCNAVTA. Thanks everyone.
